Simon Says Stamp January Instagram Challenge: White on White
Today was another snow day at my spot on the globe. So, I decided to make a snowflake doily card project to participate in the January White on White card making challenge with Simon Says Stamp.
I absolutely love all the layers and texture of this card. From the deep impressions made by the snowflake embossing folder to the shadow layers and intricate snowflake die cuts, this card project showcases beautiful dimension.
The magic of this card project was in the rotating and layering of the Marie snowflake die by Simon Says Stamp. This leveled up the design and made it feel so delicate. It truly is a stunning card and came together quite quickly which is always a card maker’s dream!
BONUS: Since the card turned out pretty amazing, I decided to die cut some extra pieces and make a second snowflake doily.
This time, I added a touch of color with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink and metallic watercolor. I added pearl embellishments to finish, and it created such a pretty little ornament. I used my small hole punch and looped a thin, mauve silk ribbon to serve as the hanger. I love it!
It now adorns my mini pink tinsel tree displayed in my craft room. Doesn’t every crafter leave up a Christmas tree in their creative space year round? :-). I will definitely be making more of these snowflakes and using them as gift tags for the next holiday season.
