Today, I am using Pretty Pink Posh’s Layered Mittens stencil and giving it a Valentine’s twist.
For my card panel, I ink blended the mittens using Pretty Pink Posh’s Layered Mittens stencil with Simon Says Stamp’s premium dye inks in colors Teeny Bikini and Hot Mama. I then stenciled hearts in Lipstick Red using the Waffle Flower Crafts duo tone heart stencil set. I had to add some white splatter to the background of course.
For my image, I had a free heart svg file that came with my Silhouette Cameo software, so I used my Silhouette Cameo Pro 4 to cut out two of the linked hearts. I dabbed some coordinating ink around the hearts to make them speckled in color.
I didn’t have a stamp in the sentiment that I wanted to use, so I typed out “Be Mine I’m smitten with you!” and printed in color ink using my Epson Workforce. I fussy cut them separately, so I could stagger the words onto the card front. I added a bit of shimmer to the mittens and heart using some Ranger Stickles and added in a few white highlights to the mittens. This super cute homemade valentine card is finished and ready to give to that special someone!
