Make A Wish | Big News | Pretty Pink Posh

Hello friends!

It has been a while since I have posted. We have been busy in our neck of the woods with all things end of summer and back to school. From last minute getaways to open houses to now school football games, my family is back in full swing. Summer was a lot of fun, but it has also been super fun starting a new chapter.

In the transition of back to school and all, I have also started a small business, My Wish Travel Agency. In addition to my crafting, I have planned family vacations for the last eight years and finally decided to start my own agency.

My Wish Travel is a small, boutique agency specializing in family travel. You can find and follow the fun on Facebook and Instagram! @mywishtravelagency. I would love to see you there! We specialize in Disney Destinations and our planning and concierge services are complimentary to our clients. Feel free to reach out and connect with us about your vacation planning needs.

In conjunction with this new adventure, I decided to make a set of cards with a birthday wish theme. I created a pair of simple yet festive birthday cards using the Birthday Signs Stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh.

On my first card project, I stamped in Tsukineko VersaMark ink on an A2 sized (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card panel the candles in a row of three along with the sentiment “Make A Wish”. FUN FACT: Three candles represents PAST, PRESENT, & FUTURE as you make your wish!

Next, I heat embossed in gold and added a spatter or splatter (Side commentary: There is controversy in the crafting world on the correct use of these words. IYKYK.) of Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.

TIP: I love using a fan brush to spatter inks or paints to my card panels. I find it gives the best result in splatter. See what I did there? 😉 In all seriousness, this card is so simple to create, and I’m loving it!

For the second card project, I stamped the balloon and birthday cake images in Tsukineko VersaMark ink and embossed in gold. I then used my Ohuhu pastel alcohol markers to put color to the images. I wanted something bright and peachy. And of course, the Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink was incorporated to accent all the delicious, warm tones of this card design. Lastly, I die cut my panel using my Waffle Flower Craft stitched rectangle dies and popped it up to a white card base using a bit of thin foam tape. Loving all the white space of this card design.

Thank you for joining me today! As always a list of the supplies used is available for you! Happy Crafting to all, and see you at the next post!
