Happy Makers Monday!
Today I am happy to share a fun card using a hand drawn image. Drawing is not my strong suit at all, but I can usually sketch out common images with somewhat success. I drew this crescent moon on a piece of copy paper with a permanent marker. Next, I scanned and uploaded the image into my Silhouette Studio software.
From there, I was able to edit my drawing points and smooth out the lines of the image. I applied an offset to create a background layer for my moon and sent it to the machine to cut in black card stock. I then cut the moon from gold foil card stock and adhered the two pieces together using some liquid adhesive.
For my background, I used the clouds slimline stencil by Waffle Flower Crafts and ink blended a stack of clouds using a collection of premium dye ink from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut the panel using the largest nesting stitched rectangle die by Waffle Flower Crafts. I then layered it with a slightly larger cut of black card stock and adhered to a card base.
I finished this card design with a simple “hello” sentiment from the Essential Sentiment stamp and coordinating die set by Waffle Flower Crafts and a few bubble embellishments by Little Things by Lucy’s Cards.
Next time you see the moon, say hello and take a moment to see its beauty. I hope you enjoyed today’s card project. Have a wonderful day, and I’ll see you soon!
