Mama Elephant | More Card Making Fun with Tri-Window Cover, Up With Love, Stacked Circles

Happy Tuesday! Oh my, where did Monday go? I think I totally missed it. This might be a fair warning on how the rest of the week will go. Over here, we’ve got baseball practice and cheer tryouts this week. Then Spring Break week and Daylight Savings Time coming in fast this weekend which will definitely boost us all towards a new season! I’m so ready for warmer weather. Are you? I know my friends who live north sure are ready, and I don’t blame them!

And speaking of things I can’t wait for, I can’t wait for all things Easter too! Sunrise service, family gatherings, Easter baskets, yummy treats (especially the Cadbury eggs) are all eagerly anticipated. But, I digress.

Today, I’m over the moon excited to share with you another set of card projects featuring Mama Elephant’s Tri-Window Cover and Up With Love stamp and creative cuts. I had some leftover die cut pieces from the last card making project. (If you haven’t seen it, definitely go check it out!) I didn’t feel like wasting or saving some of these extra cuts, so I made two more cards. Yay!

This time; however, I also incorporated the Stacked Circles – Creative Cuts and picked the little bear and chick to feature from the Up With Love set.

For the first card, I had the idea of making it look like a message on a letter board. The words “LOVE HUGS LOVE” were repeated in alternating pattern papers and solid card stock on an angle. I cut and adhered think black strips of paper in between.

I stamped the little bear image using Gina K. Designs obsidian amalgam ink and used alcohol markers for the color. I cut off the balloon he was holding and die cut a little blue heart for him to hold instead. Using the two smallest circles in the stacked circles – creative cuts set, I constructed a silver glitter card stock circle with a stitched blue outline.

I adhered the top of the bear inside the blue stitched circle frame and trimmed off the excess. I finished this fun design with embossing the sentiment “Sending You All The Hearts” with white embossing powder onto black card stock and added in a few bubble mix embellishments to the card front.

For the second card, I paper pieced my extra cuts into the Tri-cover Window cover. I went ahead and embossed the sentiment “To My Sweet Friend” using white embossing powder onto the middle section of the black card stock.

Then I took the reverse cut of the blue and silver glitter card stock paper made from the first card. I adhered the balloon I cut off from the bear (I’m not wasting that cute balloon!) behind the circle.

Next, I colored the little chick using alcohol makers and popped him up using foam adhesive squares on the circle. A few of the same bubble embellishments were used to finish this card project as well!

I love how I was able to achieve two new, different designs using mainly leftover paper cuts from a previous card project!

Thank you for joining me today, it was a pleasure to have you stop by. I hope to see you again. Until then, happy crafting my friend.
